So we've actually shared this data with
managers and employees on a monthly basis,
and it was really important for us to make sure
that every employee understood what our
diversion rate was, so that when they saw that
in the newsletter that, "Hey, our diversion rate is
89%," you know that they would immediately
understand what that meant and why that was
important.
So again, speaking to employee engagement,
how we got there. We used our zero waste
program just as a different way to engage our
employee culture. So we would have employee
lunch-and-learns. I made a recycle bin bingo
game where you got to learn some of the waste
materials we have on the site and how to
recycle them.
