So there are really lots of ways that you can
get points and participate in this certification
process; and as well it's very hard for one
facility to get every single point, so you
definitely want to focus on the ones that work
for you.
And then here are just the basic requirements
for the certification. Your company or projects
taking the certification must have a zero-waste
policy in place. You must average 90% or
greater diversion from landfill waste to energy
and environment for a 12 month period. You
must meet solid waste and recycling
regulations. You must have data that
documents a whole base year of waste
diversion and then you submit those 12
months annually to GBCI to keep your credit
certification current.
