Another unique thing that we recycle or divert
is once we started this program, we included
at our front desk check-in area a vendor sign-
in form where a vendor signs in when they visit
us. We have a lot of vendors come and visit us.
And we had them sign a form about safety, but
also about sustainability saying, "Hey we're a
zero waste facility, and we'd actually like you to
try and recycle as much as possible while
you're here. If you have any questions, contact
our sustainability coordinator."
And actually through that program we were
able to see that, "Oh, hey our HVAC filters are
actually a big source of landfill waste for us!"
And so one solution to that is that we were able
to in some of our HVACs actually get reusable
fabric filters that the vendor actually just washes
and cleans and puts back in.
So that's been a huge waste savings for us
there. And again if it wasn't for this program, we
probably wouldn't have realized that we were
even throwing those away because our vendor
was throwing them away without us tracking it.
So, yeah, I would say HVAC filters we're trying to
reuse those, cigarettes is also unique one.
