In nature, waste doesn't exist. Every input is
purposeful in much of the same with every
output. So one way we practice this at Posty
Cards is through composting. We collect yard
waste for on-site compost pile, and we send our
food scraps and paper towels to a local
composting facility. These then get transformed
from waste into usable products that we apply
back to our soil and landscapes through
compost and mulch.
So it's a natural cycle. It's circular; and it's that
circular model that kind of takes waste out of the
model. And so how can we shift towards that and
away from that linear model where materials are
extracted, etc. and eventually head to the landfill?
